The cost of fast-food is set to increase further, as pizza giant Dominos brings in a six per cent ‘delivery service fee’ to keep up with input costs.

The service fee will apply to delivery orders on Monday to Saturday, the company says the fee will help franchise owners cover the rising costs of keeping delivery bikes on the road.

A Dominos spokeswoman said the company is trying to keep the price of the pizzas themselves low, while making up for rises in the cost of production.

‘We have had to make some small changes including introducing a 6% Delivery Service Fee to help us cover the rising cost of fuel, food and utilities, and ensure we can continue to train and retain our team members,’ said the spokeswoman.
